Erik Vance Biography

Erik Vance is the President and Founder of the Pray or Die! organization.Erik passionately declares the truth of the gospel without compromise. He challenges teenagers, young adults and college students to take a stand for Christ in their schools, communities, and throughout the world.

As a youth, Erik was anointed on national TV by Pastor Creflo Dollar who proclaimed he was anointed to do exploits throughout the world. However, Vance wandered down another path after this prophesy, a road that included drug dealing, alcohol, heavy gambling, many women, and a life of crime. As a youth, Erik was even expelled from schools on occasion.

Luckily, he had a supernatural encounter with GOD that changed his life forever. The vision for the organization came from Luke 22:31-32, where Jesus told his disciple, Simeon Peter, “the enemy wants to utterly destroy you but I have prayed for thee…” It was Jesus’ prayer that saved Peter from death. It seems the enemy wants to do the same with young adults and teens across the world — through media, porn, music, and drugs. Through prayer, we can recapture this generation and bring our world “back to its original state through the power of prayer”.

Erik is a sought-after speaker who travels sharing the power of prayer, the importance of prayer, and the benefits of salvation with this generation. In addition to spearheading Pray or Die!, Erik Vance is an entrepreneur who also speaks with young adults and college students about financial stability. Erik has made numerous media appearances since the inception of P.O.D., including theWB, UPN, BET, MTV, TBN and many more. Presently, Erik is not a Pastor but a dynamic evangelist that travels throughout the country proclaiming the gospel
